Infra Neonism
Artist Statement
My latest series, Infra Neonism is an evolution of my Infra Realism explorations, which ventures deeper into the realm of fantasy through the application of machine learning technologies. Set against the backdrop of a forever pink Palm Springs, these works are punctuated with vibrant sculptural forms crafted from a diverse array of materials, including glass, light, neon, and stone.
Where Infra Realism was set in a fictitious 1980s/90s dreamscape, these images are outside of time, with subtle nods to the realms of angels and the classical civilizations of Ancient Greece and Rome, Post Modernism in the 90s and also futurism. My intention is to transport viewers to a world where reality and imagination converge, where the influence of machine learning technology enhances the narrative while preserving the essence of Palm Springs' timeless allure.
